Who we are

A social community in the heart of Carnia

Comunità di Rinascita is a social cooperative based in Tolmezzo, in the mountains of Carnia (Friuli Venezia Giulia, north-eastern Italy). We support people with disabilities on their journey towards independence, wellbeing and a fulfilling life.

The Community was born in 1977, in the years after the Friuli earthquake, from the initiative of people with disabilities and volunteers. Today we are a group of people, with and without disabilities, who share common goals in a dimension of life and work: we do things not for others, but with others.

What we do

Residential centre

A real home where eighteen people with disabilities live, sharing daily life, relationships and personal projects.
Day centre

A socio-educational space open to the local community, with workshops, outings and a multisensory room.
Physiotherapy

A professional outpatient service with individual treatments and group sessions, open to residents and external patients.
Occupational therapy

Programmes for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, to strengthen skills, self-confidence and independence.
